Either it’s work or just a hobby, blogging needs some “serious” preparations. You have to pull your thoughts together and form them into something easily readable, informative and even funny to entertain & educate your readers. I bet you have a set up, and some crucial ingredients for a great day at work, everybody has items that are crucial for working efficiently, for me these are the top 5 blogging essentials:
I used to be a tea girl, but since I had a baby and I’m lacking of those great 8 hour sleeps coffee became my best friend. So before I sit down to write a post for you guys, I make a latte with just a hint of cinnamon on top and sip it while working.
My MacBook Air
I’m a great fan of small, portable computers (previously I had a little ASUS one, that “died” in 2013 and then my Hubby surprised me with an Apple one). It contains my life; all the articles and photos I’ve ever written, and runs the browser that has nearly a 1000 bookmarked websites I’m storing to read again or refer to.
I had eagle eyes up until I was 26, then something changed (too much time in front of the screen probably) and my sight got worse and worse (especially when reading, or getting tired). After I gave birth to my son, the situation got so bad, that I could no longer postponed to invest into a quality pair of glasses. So I’ve got a Furla Melody frame, that I’m in love with and that I’d love to wear also as a fashion statement because it’s so beautiful, but it’s only for close distances (working on the computer, reading, watching tv) so I’m mostly using it at home 🙁
I’m an organizer, and I love to handwrite so I guess it’s not a surprise that I’m an addict of planners. I currently have two ( a DM Lifebook and a Happy Planner) and I use them for keeping my life together. Dates, meetings, birthdays, post ideas, post scheduling, sources and so on…I don’t know how could anyone live without a planner.
I have an iPhone 5 that I inherited from my Husband. I’m not the biggest fan of it, but I think it’s gonna serve me well for a while. I’m not addicted to my phone, but I’m using it to handle my social media sites (Instagram, twitter etc.) and while working on a post I’m often using it as a source of double checking facts on these sites.
