5 Healthy Alternatives To Labello

5 Healthy Alternatives To Labello

Winter is very harsh on our skin and lips but the transition to spring can be even harder. The quickly changing weather and environmental changes can leave your lips dry and chapped. So where to turn? Please forget one product for sure: Labello. The well known lip balm brand is one of the biggest lies in the cosmetics industry that not only NOT works but scores 9 (Dirty) in the thinkdirtyapp too.

However there is no evidence against Labello products, I’m still very very much against them and trying to fight against the usage of them with all my power. I tried most of their products and I found them very drying (I can peal my lips of only after a day using Labello), too greasy and I heard rumors about that it can be addictive but I can’t confirm them. But ineffective lip balms are all over the drugstores, I can’t curse only one product, the best is if you always take a look at the ingredients as I usually suggest. So I looked around on the market and picked 5 healthy alternatives to Labello. These are all organic, natural and made with the best ingredients possible. Give them a shot and I guarantee you will never go back to the classic blue tube…

Dr. Bronner’s Naked Organic Lip Balm

Made with beeswax, jojoba oil, avocado oil and hemp seed oil. Certified organic to USDA National Organic Program standards, because at Dr. Bronner’s  they believe that what you put on your lips goes into your body. They suggest it’s good not only for lips but for dry elbows, hands or cuticles in need of some pampering. Available here.

RMS Beauty Lip and Skin Balm

“Each ingredient in this award-winning and skin rejuvenating formula has been carefully selected for its traditional healing abilities.” Contains coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, jojoba oil and a lot of other good stuff. Available in two amazing scents Vanilla and Cocoa, purely delicious. Available here.

John Masters Organics Lip Balm

This extraordinary effective lip balm has the finest ingredients including flax seed oil and rose hip oil, and has the nicest subtle scent due to it’s citrus ingredients (tangerine, lime and lemon peel oils). Available at Corpo Natura.

Hurraw Lip Balms

My current favourites, I’m using their coconut and almond versions (One for home, one for my handbag). It’s so good it earned it’s place on my must have beauty products list. It’s very nourishing yet not so greasy, the scent is subtle but still amazing. It has sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and candelilla wax between it’s ingredients. It’s available in 23 different flavours, some of them are pretty special like Earl Grey, Licorice or Root Beer. You have to try them! Available here.

Faerie Organic Honey Butter Lip Balm

I explored this brand through Instagram and found it very impressive. However I have to admit I did not tried their products yet, their mission and the ingredients and techniques they are using were impressive enough to feature their Honey Butter Lip Balm on this list. The balm is formulated with nourishing organic shea butter, and healing minerals and micronutrients from raw organic honey. Available here.

Interesting post on lip balms. Didn’t know there was so much to it and the natural ingredients. Will definitely keep a look out for them once my current one finishes.

I actually never heard of any of these lip balms. I normally stick with blistex or Burts Bees.

I actually do not use lip balm, for some reason it feels like it does not stay long on my lips and I have to keep reapplying. I just use lip gloss or lipstick. Great list though.
