Dark lips are very popular these days, especially berry lips that were rockin’ on each and every catwalk for the fall winter season. With this step by step guide you can easily achieve the perfect berry lips look!
I-II. Start with preparing your lips. I used Herbivore’s Coco Rose Lip Polish, but any lip scrub/polish can do the work. Then a rich lipbalm is necessary to hydrate and give your lips a soft and smooth surface.
III. The next step is to use a liner thats really close to the colour of your lipstick. I used MAC’s Vino. It’s important to not to just outline the lips but also smudge it inwards a bit. It will give your lips a more sophisticated finish.
IV. With INGLOT’s dark plum shade (#184) I filled the lips. I used the lipstick only but if you are not that sure about your precision, use a lip brush for the application.
V. To fix the look, “bite” on a tissue. It will remove the excess material. Then repeat the filling and bite again on the tissue. This will help you avoid to smudge the lipstick too easy or to have it on your teeth later on.
